ASIAFORGE was launched in 2005 by Confederation of Chinese Metalforming Industry (CCMI), Japan Forging Association (JFA), Association of Indian Forging Industry (AIFI), Korea Forging Cooperative (K.F.C.) and Taiwan Forging Association, Chinese-Taipei (TWFA-CT), aiming to promote the growth of the forging industry in Asia through enhancing regional exchange and cooperation, and to build networks amongst the forging fraternity in Asia. The terms of the presidency and secretariat of ASIAFORGE takes turns biennially among the member associations and the ASIAFORGE Meeting will be held by the secretariat.
The Asian forging industry has shown strong development momentum and potential in terms of globalization, technological innovation and market adaptation, and is expected to play a more important role in the global forging industry in the future. Where to go and how to develop of the forging industry under the complex and changing new situation of the global economy? It is still the subject of global forging practitioners.
