High Pressure Water Descaling Principle
The forging is oxidized at high temperature during induction heating, forming a laver of dense oxide scale on its surface. lf the scale cannot be removed before forging, it will be pressed into the surface of the forging during the forging process, affecting its surface quality. Removing forging scale will also reduce the wear of the forging die and prolong the service life of the forging die.In the descaling machine system, the high-pressure water generated by the high-pressure water pump enters the nozzle of the descaling machine. Under the action of the nozzle, the high-pressure water foms a fan-shaped water jet with great impact, which is sprayed onto the surface of the forging.Under the action of this high-pressure fan-shaped water jet beam, the iron oxide scale has undergone a process of being cut, quenched and shrunk,peled off from the base metal. and washed away from the surace of the forging, thereby removing the forging scale. When the high-pressure water is hit on the surface of the forging through the nozzle, the following changes will occur.
- The fan-shaped surface formed bythe water fow is like a sharp blade, which cuts the dense iron sheet and forms cracks. lt can be seen that the thin fan has greater impact;
The high-pressure water penetrates the crack and encounters the high temperature base material to vaporize and evaporate rapidly, forming an effect similar to blasting, and peeling off the iron oxide scale and the base material ;- After being impacted by water,the iron oxide scale shrinks when it is cold, and generates transverse shear force, which peels off the iron oxide scale and the base metal;
- The scouring effect of the water jet with a forward angle will wash away the loose iron sheet.
